Bill Light

managing director

Prior to entering the advertising and brand development business, Bill spent 12 years in high technology sales and marketing management with Teledyne Corporation and ILC Technology. His 20 years of agency experience included stints as a copywriter, account supervisor, and creative director at Tate Associates, Baxter Gurian Mazzei (BGM), Pacific Communications, and Roberts Mealer & Co. (RMC). Bill founded airt group in 2009 and has since focused on brand development and management. Bill earned a BA from California State University Long Beach and an MS in Organization Development from Pepperdine University.

Ron Ovadia

creative brand strategist

Ron has spent 25 years in consumer and healthcare advertising. As a writer, creative director, and creative brand strategist, he has developed numerous ad campaigns, theme lines, and positioning platforms for companies and brands. He brings to airt both strategic and creative thinking with a blend of selling and storytelling. Plus the discipline of reason-why advertising—identifying benefits that fulfill core needs—as well as brand essence discovery—tapping into underlying feelings that create an emotional connection with customers. And yes, Ron has the good sense to know when the ineffable magic of creativity trumps all.

Robin Freni

design director

More than 12 years of experience have shaped Robin into an artist whose brand design solutions evolve organically and collaboratively. Her award-winning print campaigns reflect a clean and structured design style in both brand identity and print communication work. Similar sensibilities extend to her Web designs, which include innovative eCommerce and multimedia integration solutions. Robin believes that developing a close creative relationship with each client is the secret to producing unique, individualized brand designs. She earned her BFA in Graphic Design from SUNY at Fredonia and worked for several prominent New York City design firms before moving to California in 2006.

Mike Mahoney

Mike is an award-winning copywriter and veteran business communicator with more than 20 years of advertising, marketing and content development experience. He has provided strategic, creative and/or SEO support for more than 150 regional, national and international brands, in segments ranging from healthcare, medical devices and biotech to fast food, financial services and consumer goods. Mike works closely with airt teams and clients in the planning, creation and distribution of online and offline marketing materials. He helps develop and transform audience-relevant themes, messaging and stories into user-friendly content that generates credibility, trust and brand preference by helping your customers make wiser, better-informed decisions.

Jerry Strifler

Throughout his 25 years of experience as design professional, Jerry has continually refined the philosophy of designing for the client. He always seeks to deeply understand client business communication objectives before the design process begins, and then develops message-driven creative solutions to fulfill those objectives. Jerry lends this approach to a wide-range of design projects across all media channels including print, direct, online, display, promotional and experiential. He also excels in creating differentiated and striking logos and brand identity designs. Jerry's work has included campaigns for such brands as Mazda, Kia Motors, Mattel, Dave & Buster's and Nestlé.

Peter Sharpe

Peter is an award-winning art director with more than 20 years of experience in consumer, technology and healthcare communications. His expertise spans a wide variety of product and service categories—from beer to Botox and from housewares to heart valves. Peter enjoys the challenge of solving strategic business problems. To this end, he creates category-changing concepts and striking imagery that literally propel your business forward. His design proficiency across media channels including print, brand identity, direct, display, online and multimedia makes him an invaluable resource for developing truly integrated brand marketing campaigns. Peter is a graduate of Pasadena's prestigious Art Center College of Design.
